Gait Analysis
When you walk and run, a certain sequence of events need to take place in your musculoskeletal system.
For example:
- Your arms and legs should have a symmetrical cross-crawl pattern
- Your pelvis should sway side to side
- Your spine should rotate
- Your hips should flex and extend
Most faults in gait can be observed by a physician trained in gait analysis. Correction is not always voluntary. These faults are caused by improper function of muscles caused by adhesions or scar tissue. If you remove the adhesions, the body usually self corrects these faults. These corrections are done with Active Release Techniques® (ART®)
